Antibiotic resistance is making infections harder to treat, and our project aims to understand why. We study how bacteria evolve, how their genes change over time, and how these changes affect the way infections spread and respond to treatment. By uncovering new markers that help track resistance, examining how resistance affects bacterial survival, and exploring how different mutations interact, we aim to generate knowledge that supports safer, smarter use of antibiotics and protects communities from drug‑resistant infections.
